Janez Bensa , Solvera lynx d.o.o. 

is a member of the management team of the innovative Solvera lynx company, established in 2002, which assures complete solutions in the area of information technologies for industry and the energy sector. Solvera lynx is specialised in the development and implementation of solutions for energy management which represent the basis for management, forecasting and decision-making in the area of energy use. Currently, they are intensively expanding their activities abroad, especially in Central and Eastern Europe and in the region of the former Yugoslavia. Bensa has already worked for such companies as HIT, Iskra Avtoelektrika and Deloitte&Touche. At the moment, he is a postgraduate entrepreneurial student at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana and in the past was, among other things, a member of the Management Group and Young Project Managers associations.

Tomaž Dimnik , Moje delo d.o.o.

is the Director and co-founder of the Moje delo company, established in 2003, and involved in Internet marketing which, with a 26 member team, manages the portals: http://www.mojedelo.com/ (employment and career centre) and http://www.portalznanja.com/ (educational centre offering 1000 educational courses). In addition to the Slovenian market, they are currently conquering a number of new foreign markets. The mojedelo.com portal will be expanded to the Serbian and Bosnian markets in 2007 while certain services will also be expanded into the EU space and the United States.

Boštjan Gaberc , Mikrografija d.o.o.

is the Director of the Mikrografija company which is involved in the management and electronic archiving of documents. The company has 25 employees and a 20 – 30 percent annual growth rate in recent years. Gaberc established the company at the age of twenty-one and lectures at numerous seminars and conferences in the area of document management. The company already sells its products and services in Serbia and Austria and is planning to expand sales to Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries in the region.

Matjaž Gros, MOGENAS Mladinska Oglaševalska Mreža d.o.o.

is the Director of Development and Marketing and the majority owner of the MOGENAS company, which is the leading provider of advertising space in printed media for young people in Slovenia. Through his endeavours, he enables for the publication of 25 youth media publications and supplements. During his entrepreneurial studies, Matjaž also led the Ljubljana subsidiary of the largest international student organisation, AIESEC, and later worked at various companies, especially in the area of media and marketing. Realising an opportunity in the area of production and marketing of youth media, he established the MOGENAS company in 2002 and set-up a media system of youth media for students, secondary and primary school pupils, which annually assures work and learning in projects to more than 100 young associates and direct communications with new generations of buyers to numerous advertisers.

Uroš Goričan, Ino d.o.o. / Mogota d.o.o. / Ptujska tiskarna d.o.o.

is a member of the management of the Ino, d. o. o., family company which is one of the leading graphics companies on the Slovenian market and also operates on foreign markets, especially Germany, Austria, England, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia. In the future, the company desires to penetrate new markets, particularly with specific mass produced highly technological products. Goričan’s works in the area of key customer management in Slovenia and abroad and also heads the new development projects of the company. He is also the co-owner of the Mogota company, which is involved in the sale and packaging of teas. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana where he received his MBA.

Nikola Janković, VideoToP d.o.o.

is the Director, co-founder and co-owner of the VideoTop company, which has become the largest distributor of video games in Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia. Since 1997, it has also been developing a magazine publishing programme. Currently, the company issues six magazines in Slovenia (FHM, Bravo, PC Format, Digitalna Kamera, Popolni vodič and Game Zone) and two magazines (FHM and Bravo) in Croatia. They cooperate in a partnership with the Serbian Color Media publishing house, the largest publisher of magazines in the region of the former Yugoslavia, with whom they will begin publishing the magazine FHM also in Serbia. In the upcoming years, they will expand their distribution network of video games to the remaining countries in the region and are currently in the process of developing an additional four new magazines which will begin issue in Slovenia in 2007. Janković began his career at the age of 19 and studied at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Maribor.

Saša Jevtić, ROBOTI c.s. d.o.o.

is the Director and co-owner of the young ROBOTI c.s., d. o. o. company, which operates in the field of security robotics and provides complete robotic solutions both to companies and end-users. The Roboti c.s. company desires in the future to produce quality and economic robots for aid in daily life. Jevtić became interested in technology at a very early age and thus set off for the United States where he worked in the field of robotics and in 2003, together with colleagues, established his first company. In 2005, he also established a company in Slovenia, into which he invested over €130,000 with the help of investors (primarily business angels) into development, produced 2 prototypes and concluded his first contracts with clients. A number of foreign investors have expressed interest in the company because there are only around 10 comparable companies in the world. In the future, the company will expand its operations to Italy, Austria, South-Eastern Europe, Russia and the United States.

Tomaž Jug, Editor d.o.o.

is the Director and co-founder of the Editor company, established in 2001. The company is involved in the creation and marketing of Web portals and advanced Web applications. It is a member of the Primorje Technological Park. Its key product is a system for managing Web pages, MojPortal (http://www.mojportal.net/), while activities also include the development of applications for Web collaboration and project management. The company’s current growth rate is 100 percent annually, a rate they also wish to maintain in the future through expansion to foreign markets. Jug began developing Websites already in secondary school, and set-up his first commercial page in 1995 when the Internet was still in its infancy. After his studies at the College of Entrepreneurship in Portorož, he worked in Italy as Head of the Web Department of an advertising agency, and later established his own company.

Boris Kozlevčar, INform, pretok znanja d.o.o.

is the Director and co-owner of the Inform company, established in 2003, which through the informiran.si portal offers instructive guided on-line production of legal documents. Using its own technology, it connects over 100 experts who independently create smart eForms online. In somewhat over a year, they have become the leading Web centre in their field with over 13,000 registered users and 55,000 monthly visitors. Last year, the portal became the commercial provider of electronic state and municipal forms. In Slovenia, they have developed a reference application model with which they will, together with a business model, expand to developed markets and the markets of the former Yugoslavia. Kozlevčar received his degree in economics and has long been interested in the exploitation of advanced technologies.

Anton Krašovec, Alkemist

is the Director, founder and owner of the Alkemist Translation Agency, established in 2001, which provides translations, interpretation and language instruction. Clients include such renowned international and domestic companies as Bosch, Johnson&Johnson, Siemens and Banka Koper as well as a number of others. The agency is currently opening a branch in Shanghai which will offer Slovenian and European companies business and cultural consulting when entering the Chinese market. The agency is also expanding to the markets of the former Yugoslavia. Prior to embarking on an entrepreneurial career, Krašovec worked in marketing and company management for a number of years.

Luka Lajovic, Formal d.o.o.

is the Director and co-owner of the Formal real estate company, established in 2003, which differs from its competitors in that it provides its customers with complete solutions for real estate sales (financing - offers of all banks and leasing companies, real estate project development, project design services, insurance, moving services, real estate portfolio management and consulting in the optimisation of tax liabilities). Next year, they will be opening a company in Croatia where they are developing a network of subsidiaries and partner companies in Eastern Europe and in the region of the former Yugoslavia through the set-up of franchises. Lajovic is concluding his studies in economics. Prior to the beginning of his entrepreneurial career, he worked in a number of companies and was also involved in real estate management and transactions.

Uroš Lampret, Our Space Appliances, d. o. o.

is the Director and co-owner of the Our Space Appliances company, established in 2001, which is involved in the planning, sales, implementation and maintenance of computer disk systems for SMEs. The company is involved in the distribution and support of Network Appliance products in the Adriatic region. In the future, they plan to expand activities to new markets, especially those in South-Eastern and Central Europe. Lampret received a degree in informatics and possesses rich experience in the field of information systems and was, among other things, also the Head of the Information System Security Group at Pošta Slovenija.

Peter Lapornik, PROR.I.S.K. D.O.O.

is the Director and co-owner of the PROR.I.S.K. company, established in 2000 and specialised in accounting, tax consulting and financial engineering. The company is affiliated with the franchise group Simič&Partnerji. In the upcoming year, they are opening their own company in Croatia which enables especially Slovene companies operating on the Croatian market an improved control over operations. In future years, the company desires to expand to the remaining markets in the region. Lapornik has a degree in economics and prior to establishing PROR.I.S.K., worked at the Gradbeno podjetje Grosuplje as Financial Project Manager.

Sebastijan Lorger, Invind d.o.o.

is the Director, co-owner and developer of the Invind company, which operates in the areas of research and experimental technological development. Two years ago, he and his partner received the award of the Primorje Technological Park which aided him in establishing his company. Lorger coordinates and manages the intelligent electric wheelchairs for overcoming architectural obstacles project. Already a number of domestic and foreign partners are participating in the project, among them also large companies. He is currently seeking strategic and financial partners for continued development. In the future, he desires to gear the company especially towards developed European markets and the markets of the United States and Japan. By qualification, he is a construction engineer with experience in working with eCommerce.

Primož Majerič, Leeloo d.o.o.

is the Director of the Leeloo company, which unites top-level designers and programmers. The main project comprises the Art Monsters brand name, which includes a number of products and services, from toys, mobile phone games and online games to clothing. It will operate within the scope of the Web portal using eCommerce as a type of eCommunity, in which users will be able to participate in the design of specific products and vote for the best ones. Leeloo otherwise develops software for mobile telephones, various organisational tools, tools for data security, and tools for data synchronisation between telephones and computers, and entertainment tools. Within the scope of the Leloo Group, in addition to the Art Monsters brand name, they have also developed a unique women’s clothing brand name, Noenoe, whereby they are currently in the phase of concluding a contract for the distribution of the collection on foreign markets. Majerič studied economics and worked in the fields of Web marketing, classic marketing and sales. Among other things, he is also the founder of the Siddhartha band.

Dragan Martinovič, EPTSolutions d.o.o.

is CEO of new EPTSolutions company, the competence centre for American high tech company E Ink, which developed the technology of electronic paper. EPTSolutions offers complete solutions based on electronic paper and complimentary technologies for Europe, Russia and Israel. They have already concluded their first contract in Slovenia for the development of applications for various sectors. Before starting the company he was the Head of the New Technologies Department at the Our Space company. Martinovič is a graduated electrotechnical engineer and a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana.

Mihael Matlievski, Matlievski.net

is the Director and co-owner of the Emo Matly, d. o. o. company involved in the supply of electric power products and devices. Matlievski is also involved in consulting on the effective use of energy sources and the implementation of real estate construction projects. Emo Matly’s main customers are electric power companies and in the area of consulting, leading investment companies from the construction industry. The company is also present on the foreign marketplace with its products and services, especially in the republics of the former Yugoslavia, Romania and Bulgaria. Matlievski took over the family company which he reorganised and in this way managed to attain above average growth this year. With the desire to maintain this level of growth, he consistently increases the company’s offer of products and services and seeks opportunities also on international markets.

Ciril Mlakar, CVS MOBILE d.d.

is the Director and co-owner of the CVS MOBILE, informacijske rešitve, d. d. company which produces state-of-the-art technological solutions in the area of telematics and data transfer via the GSM mobile phone network and provider of service optimisation and vehicle park management. The company currently offers its services on the Serbian and German markets and is expanding to new markets (Russia, Italy and Croatia). Revenues are growing at a 100 percent annual rate with solutions in the areas of telematics sold predominantly to larger transport companies.

Jurij Petruna, Avior d.o.o.

is the co-founder and project and ideas manager of the Avior company which is involved in the development of software for support to mobile phone and interactive advertising, SMS services, development of Web applications and telecommunications. Their most recognised service is sponsored SMSs which, as the first in Slovenia, represents a combination of Web and mobile phone advertising whereby users are enabled the free sending of SMS messages through the Internet via the SMSaj.com portal. They also developed the eFax.si service which allows users to send and receive fax messages via electronic mail. The company is a member of the Ljubljana Technological Park. They managed to acquire development funds from the Entrepreneurial Fund this year. In Slovenia, they have already begun cooperating with large subscribers, and in the future, are planning expansion to new markets. Petruna is doing his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences in Ljubljana.

Ronald Pintar, Fibernet d.o.o.

is the Director of the UPS programme and co-owner of the Fibernet company, which is involved in optical communications and power supply systems. The company is the largest producer of optical connection cables in Slovenia and in this part of Europe, the only producer of special connection cables used in telecommunications. They are expanding to foreign markets via their subsidiaries in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia. Recently, the Romanian and Bulgarian markets have attracted their interest. Fibernet actively participates in the all-Slovenia “fiber-to-the-home” project as a supplier of infrastructural equipment. Pintar holds a degree in electrotechnical engineering and, among other things, also developed an intelligent distribution module for supplying power to billing centres – an innovation which has only two to three competitors in the world and is already being sold abroad.

Jernej Praprotnik, Oxylus d.o.o.

is the Director of the Oxylus company, which operates in the area of Website development and the development of Web games and specific own products. The company, among a number of other things, also develops and manages the zaposlitev.net portal. The company received the Silver Medal at the SOF 2006 awards for their Website prize game, Fly to School, which it developed together with the Office for Drugs. Praprotnik also co-founded the CRM Sistemi, d. o. o. company, which is involved in CRM systems and partnership cooperation with leading American companies in this area. He has a degree in economics and concluded his postgraduate studies at the Faculty for Economics. He had already begun his entrepreneurial career during his undergraduate studies. He is convinced that success is dependent on innovation in all areas: not only in products but also with regard to business models, company organisation and management methods. In the future, he desires to develop the company in terms of organic growth as well as through intensive affiliation with other companies and venture capital.

Marko Samec, Dinocolor d.o.o.

is the Director of Sales at the family-owned Dinocolor company which is involved in the design of business, marketing and commercial solutions in graphics and information technologies and the sale of graphics products. Dinocolor has companies in Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia where they are present in various industries with various products.
One of their main strategic partners is the Datacard company from the United States, through which they acquire a lot of knowledge from abroad. Samec studied economics and is continuing the family company’s tradition, bringing in new business approaches and expanding business to new areas.

Matej Stegel, STADIJ d.o.o. Postojna

is the Director of the STADIJ company, a company involved in the design and engineering of water treatment devices and other hydro-technical facilities. The company currently operates on the Slovenian and Croatian markets. In the upcoming years, they desire to expand to new markets through acquisitions and the establishment of new companies. Stegel studied mechanical engineering. In 1998, he took over the management of the family-owned company from his father and became intensively involved in the renewal of the company and acquisition of key personnel. He sees an opportunity for development predominantly in the sale of various technologies for waste water treatment and other supporting services.

Griša Šoba, Urbano pleme d.o.o.

is the co-founder and Director of the Urbano pleme company, which produces and sells alcoholic beverages of a higher price class and accessories, components and services which offer consumers entertainment, enjoyment and fun. The company is know for its brand name Supreme and the absinthe alcohol drink, which had became popular in the 18th century and was prohibited in a large number of countries. Absinthe was drunk by such artists as Van Gogh, Picasso, Baudelaire, Hemingway and Oscar Wilde. Today, it is once again becoming popular among young people all over the world, especially in the club culture. The objective of the Supreme brand name is to become the leading global ‘life-style’ brand name concerned with enjoyment, fun and entertainment (sales of alcoholic beverages, events and party organisation, chain of bars, fashion and other accessories). Šoba has a degree in economics and prior to his career as an entrepreneur, he acquired experience at a number of companies, lastly at the IPMIT company where he had been a consultant in the field of project management and information technologies for a number of years.

Marjeta Špik, CARPE DIEM, D.O.O.

is the co-owner of the Carpe diem company which designed the http://www.racunovodja.com/ portal. Data from the areas of accounting and taxes are collected on the portal. The vision of the portal is to develop new eContents and eEducational materials for business users. The portal is also dedicated to the improvement of the comprehensibility and simplification of the implementation of legislation in practice. Špik already established the company as an economics student at the age of twenty-two. Currently, the company is seeking strategic partners for continued expansion while Špik is also considering carrying out new projects.
